14C28N is a high-performance stainless steel known for its exceptional corrosion resistance and toughness. It is also easy to sharpen. As a result, it is a popular choice for making a knife that is both durable and easy to maintain. 

N690 is a rust-resistant martensitic chromium steel with additions of cobalt, molybdenum, and vanadium ,which is manufactured by Böhler. N690 is considered a good all-rounder and is often used in the upper middle class with hardnesses between 58 and 60 HRC. 

Nitro-V is a high-performance stainless steel that is known for its exceptional toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. D2 is a popular blade steel because of its excellent quality-price ratio. D2 is known for its high hardness, wear resistance, and edge retention. It is also semi-stainless, which makes it ideal for a pocket knife or outdoor knife. 

CPM S35VN/BOHLER M390

Powder metallurgy steel is modern high-performance steel with the highest wear resistance and toughness. It also features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and excellent polish ability. RSK uses the powder steels most for its High-End models in the collection series.

The blades are hardened in the VACUUM and then treated in cryogenic by liquid nitrogen. To better present the clean and metallic bright surface, RSK makes a satin, brushed, or polished finish for the blades. 

Balbach Damascus Blade

Balbach Damast from Germany is a premium blade steel that is highly prized for its exceptional edge retention, corrosion resistance, and unique pattern.

This steel is made by forging together different types of high-quality steel to create a layered, multi-metal composition. The resulting blade is not only durable but also stunning in appearance, making it a popular choice for high-end folding knives.

Shape: Point/Tanto

A drop point blade is a type of knife that's great for precise cutting tasks because it has a curved shape with a lowered point. The curved shape of the drop point blade makes it easy to control the knife and use it for a variety of tasks, especially when you're outdoors. The "drop point" name comes from the way the blade is sloped downwards towards the tip.

A Sheep foot blade has a unique blade shape. The back of the blade is first straight and then slopes down to the cutting edge. The cutting edge of a sheep foot blade is completely straight to the tip. It is often used for sailor knives or rescue tools. The cutting behavior offers exact cutting because of the blade shape. It is a perfect blade for cutting work. 

The Clippoint blade is a versatile and popular pattern used in both folding and fixed blade knives, like Bowie knives. Its unique clipped point starts near the blade's midpoint and can be curved or straight. The sharp tip is great for piercing. The Clippoint blade may be more fragile than other blade patterns. But its ample belly allows for effective slicing.

The Japanese version of the blade has a small belly, while the American version lacks a belly entirely, making it perfect for precise cuts and it uses for tactical knives. Tanto blades are also commonly found in folding knives, which are convenient for everyday carry and quick access. The blade's robustness, durability, and versatility make it a popular choice for both outdoor enthusiasts and professionals alike."

Shape: Plain/Serrated

A plain edge is a type of knife blade that is sharpened to a smooth, continuous edge with no serrations or teeth. It is used for tasks that require slicing or cutting through soft or delicate materials, for example, fruits, vegetables, and meats. A plain edge is also easier to sharpen than a serrated edge and allows for more precise cuts.

Serrated blades have teeth set into the edge of the blade to cut through tough materials. They're used on tactical knives, saws, and other cutting tools. The teeth act as small cutting edges that grip and tear through the material being cut. "

RSK Free Version

RSK Free means the knives with lock, but which can be opened only with two hands. They are opened with two hands, using a nail nick, which makes it an ideal choice for countries with regulations on one-handed opening mechanisms.

What’s more, the nail nick grooves can also serve as a space for a thumb stud, allowing to turn a two-handed knife into a one-handed knife. 

Satin/Stonewash/blackwash/Two-Tone/PVD/DLC

A satin finish is a surface treatment applied to knife blades. With the satin finish, fine lines run along the blade steel,which creates a less-reflective and appealing look. And the quality of the satin finish depends on the abrasive fineness and the lines' evenness. A clean and consistent satin finish can enhance the appeal of a knife.

A stonewashed finish is insensitive to scratching and easy to clean. This process uses small stones and friction to create a textured and matte look on the blade surface,depending on the needs, the blade can be treated fine or coarse. The stonewash finish not only looks good but also helps to camouflage the blade better, which is especially important for tactical knives and outdoor knives.

The BlackWash finish is achieved by coating the blade in black and adding a stonewash finish to create a textured look. The added blackened layer offers extra durability to the blade. What’s more, This finish also provides an anti-shiny look which is beneficial for tactical knives.

A two-tone blade is a type of blade that has two distinct effects on its surface. The common combination is satin/stonewash and satin/blackwash. Due to the clear contrast, the visibility and aesthetics of the blade can be improved.

A PVD coating is a type of protective layer that can be applied to knife blades to make them more durable, which is very thin and appealing. And this process is called physical vapor deposition (PVD). PVD coatings can help prevent scratches and other types of damage to the blade, like corrosion, making it last longer.

DLC coating is a type of protective coating used on high quality mould or blades of premium knife. Here, DLC stands for diamond-like carbon, which is a very hard and low-friction material. And DLC coatings are made only from carbon. This is different from PVD coatings, which can be used in various materials. DLC coatings are very wear-resistant, especially against corrosion. DLC coatings are an effective method for improving the performance, appearance, and longevity of knife blades.

Grinds - Flat grind/Hollow grind/Convex/Duplex

Flat ground is the most frequently used type of ground. It offers a good middle solution in terms of cutting sharpness and stability between the two other particularly frequently used types of ground.

Hollow ground blades have excellent cutting properties and are suitable for thin, rather soft-cut material. 

In the crowned grind, the blade cross-section is convex. It is very stable and does not wedge easily, which is why it is found on RSK bushcraft knives. The Scandi bevel is traditional Scandinavian blade geometry. The bevel is ground to zero with no secondary cutting bevel. 

On the Duplex blade, you can see two different grind levels, which RSK offers as standard and previously only seen on expensive custom knives.

Damascus G10

G10 Damascus is a high-quality and new material for knife handles that combines the properties of G10 and a beautiful damascus look. It features a unique and eye-catching pattern in a way that resembles traditional Damascus steel.

At the same time, it shares the same properties as normal G10 handle materials. It is very hard, stable, dense, water-resistant, and wear-resistant.

Plastic and GITD

Polypropylene is a thermoplastic that can be deformed within a certain temperature range. PP are generally easy to process. They can also be welded, have high chemical resistance and good electrical insulating properties, which generally makes them a popular material.

PP also has a number of other characteristics that make it a suitable material for the manufacture of knife handle scales. So it is particularly light and at the same time very hard.

It also has only a low tendency to form stress cracks. In addition, the mechanical properties of the polypropylene can be greatly influenced during production, which favors its diverse use.

And GITD stands for "Glow in the Dark". GITD consists of a material that absorbs light, such as B. phosphorescent paint, and then emits light in the dark.

RSK offers GITD-G10 and GITD-Plastic in different colors and attaches great importance to the brightness and duration. It's cool when your knife glows in the dark thanks to GITD.

Aluminum 6063/6065/7075

Aluminium is generally known for its lightweight and high strength, making it an ideal option for handle material. Therefore, we offer Aluminium 6063, 6065, and 7075.

They are all aluminum alloys with different chemical compositions and properties.Alu 7075 is known for high strength, excellent fatigue resistance and good machinability, while Alu6063&6065 have multiple anodizing options.

Wood

Wood is a popular material for knife handles due to its natural beauty, durability, and ability to provide a comfortable grip. We offer two kinds of wood: Olive Wood and Ebony Wood. They are both popular materials for knife handles due to their durability and aesthetic appeal.

Olive wood is a hardwood from the Mediterranean region with a light to medium-brown color with darker streaks. It is known for its durability, moisture resistance, and ability to develop a beautiful patina over time. 

On the other hand, Ebony wood is a dense and heavy hardwood that is almost black in color. It has a smooth texture and a fine, tight grain pattern that gives it an elegant appearance. Ebony Wood is also durable and resistant to moisture, making it a popular choice for knife handles.

However, some factors should be considered when using wood as a knife handle material. Wood can be susceptible to cracking, warping, or shrinking over time, especially if it is exposed to extreme temperature or moisture changes.

Therefore, it is essential to properly care for and maintain wooden knife handles by keeping them dry and periodically treating them with protective oil or wax to help prevent damage.

G10

As a glass-fiber reinforced plastic, G10 is a composite material. It’s hard, stable, dense, water-resistant, and wear-resistant. Due to high resistance to chemical materials and physical influences, it is very resistant to weathering and aging. RSK has a wide range of colors, the surface can be kept rough or polished.

The combined colors or laminated surface is also possible, including very popular carbon fiber laminated and camouflage colors. G10 is suitable for numerous components, including handle scales, inlay, backspacer, thumstuds, even 3D clip and backspring. All parts are very precisely made by RSK through CNC.

Inlay

Inlays are ornaments embedded in handle scales. The decoration can be ornate or just a geometric pattern; Inlays can be flush or raised. In most cases, handle scales made of titanium are decorated with inlays made of precious wood, carbon or titanium damask on high-priced pocket knives.

Customized Hardware

Hardware refers to components such as clips, liners, back spacers, thumb studs, and screws, which are indispensable for a knife's construction and design elements.

RSK offers customers to design such components individually. For example, titanium-coated, stonewashed, sandblasted and polished, etc., are available.

Customized Screws

For higher requirements, we offer customers custom-made screws. We only use turned parts. Your logo or lettering can be put on the screw head by CNC, etching, or laser.

Customized Backspacer

Backspacer are located on pocket knives of modern design between the two halves of the handle at the end of the handle and stabilize the rear part of the frame construction.

It provides a finished appearance and covers gaps or imperfections between the handle scales. It serves as a spacer, separating the handle scales and preventing friction and wear.

A backspacer is useful for pocket knives, especially for heavier-duty knives or those subjected to frequent or intense use. If bearings are added, it creates additional grip safety. We offer a variety of colors and are also capable of marking them with your logo or any text.

Backspacers are connectors made of metal or G10, screwed to both handle shells, backspacers can also accommodate a lanyard hole and/or a glass breaker and often stabilize the screw connection of the pocket clip.
